Tara and Larry get hitched at Castello di Borghese Winery!

Tara and Larry got married last weekend at the Castello di Borchsese winery on the North Fork of Long Island.

I had been super excited to shoot this wedding since I met Tara and Larry a few months back. With pink tinted hair, mohawks, three dogs, wicked senses of humor, and a winery venue, I knew this one was going to be a treat!

My spectacular second shooter, Rohanna, and I had a blast. The weather held for the ceremony, portraits, and cocktail hour, and the party rocked the tent so hard that we hardly noticed that it was pouring buckets outside until it was time to pack up and go home.

A Midwinters Night Dream dedicating their cryopreservation lab at Stony Brook University Medical Center

The other day I had the privilege to photograph a great event at Stony Brook University Medical Center.

Students from the Northport High Schools on Long Island have banded together to fight ALS.  Their organization, A Midwinter Night's Dream, has raised over a million dollars for research, and they just donate $125,000 to Stony Brook to help fund a cryopreservation lab.

These kids really have their fundraising skills down.  I've rarely seen professionals have their act so together and be so motivated and everything.  It was really amazing.
