Headshots: My Aunt Marcia, in a New Light

Recently, my Aunt Marcia had someone at a focus group that she was participating in recommend that she should consider modeling, as she was great on camera for them and a perfect look and attitude for her demographic.

Since the only real professional photos of her in the past have been from family weddings and bar-mitzvahs, she asked me to help her get started with some professional headshots.

It was really a unique experience for me to shift gears from the aunt/nephew relationship to a model/photographer one, and I was really pleased with the results. Despite being a little nervous at first, we blasted through an awesome session with several looks and setups over the course of two hours, putting together a portfolio of emotions and expressions from casual and fun to corporate and serious.

Below is a sampling of our collaborative efforts, and if you like what see and want to know how to get in touch with a stellar new talent, I'd be happy to make the connection. And, of course, if you're interested in a new portrait of yourself, call or email anytime.

Enjoy!
